Toons want Carroll back
According to BBC, Newcastle are interested in Carroll.

Would you, and to what price?

If we got our money back, a big yes. As long as it was invested back in the squad.

No. We should stick with him and try to make it work, he is still only 25 and can still be a hero here. If Toon were to offer silly money then of course you would have to consider it, but I highly doubt that will happen. 10 mil tops I reckon.

YES

Obviously Sam would be totally against a sale. But it would equally obviously totally make sense for the club. Time to move on, get the club's injury-prone highest earner off the books. It depends where we are in the table in January though.

Anything above £10 then he's all yours.

Re: Toons want Carroll back
When he's fit they will chuck him straight back in and put Sakho on the bench.

His fee wasn't the problem but rumoured wages of £90k per week for a player who hardly ever plays and doesn't score many when he does is worrying.

Or £10m.

Re: Toons want Carroll back
Sakho is running riot at the moment but like Cisse at Newcastle will dry up soon then return hungry again later.

Football is a squad game and unless Newcastle offer us at least the £15m - £19m we paid, why sell when we will need another striker who may not be as good....

Re: Toons want Carroll back
Sticking Carroll in will ruin the rhythm of the team your have him and Valencia jumping for the same balls

We will have to resort to long ball again when he comes back sakho has been superb since being brought in 3 games in 3 games if he continues this form Carroll should just be up as an impact sub a plan b etc

They probably want him back as manager. Deluded cunts that they are.

When he's fully fit wtf would we want to sell him?

Re: Toons want Carroll back
I like Carroll and think he could still be a great player, but let's face it, it hasn't really worked out for him. If Newcastle were serious and Carroll wanted to go, I would probably take £10m for him, with a few add ons for appearances / sel on fees, etc.

It depends on who the next manager is, Pardew seems to be a dead man walking at the moment?

A choice of Valencia, Sakho and Carroll or a choice between Valencia, Sakho and Cole?

I have to agree. We can't expect the likes of Valencia and Sakho to go the whole season being fit and as effective. Teams will find ways to stop them unless they turn out exceptional world class players.
We might need to throw a big man on and play differently in some games or to change a game but I don't think he fits the style we are currently playing.
Will he want to sit on the bench though when fit and can the club afford to play big wages to a player who isn't getting starts and being effective?

I think it's a good problem to have but hope our current strike force go from strength to strength.

Re: Toons want Carroll back
Let him go, he will only dictate our style of play, has no pace either so cant stretch the game

Far Cough - It won't matter who the gaffer is if Ashley wants him back.

Re: Toons want Carroll back
He is needed as an option amongst our strikers and obviously you need more than 2.
If they were to offer the £35m they received then we would take it though.
We don't need to sell so only silly offers should be considered.
